English

Wednesday September 26th, 2018, I was suddenly snatched from my day-to-day life in sunny Amsterdam. My house doctor called my with an urgent ring to his voice: "bad news, you have acute leukemia. Report to the hospital within half an hour".
And so I did.

Now, almost 2 weeks later, I look back at the initial shock, the way my life has already drastically changed, and at those around me who also have to cope with the situation.
For me the mission is clear: fight back and return for the second half!

In this Blog I write about my experiences, thoughts and feelings.
I decided to write in Dutch, as that is the language that allows me to most closely express what I feel.
If you want to get the drift of what I write, I suggest you use Google Translate.
This link will get you to the translated page. No guarantees, but you will understand what it is all about.

I just found a better translation tool: www.deepl.com/translator
Unfortunately it does not translate web pages directly, you will have to paste the text into the text box. However, it delivers a quite accurate and pleasantly readable translation.

In due time, I may write some articles in English. You can select them by label or use this shortcut.

Hope to see you all in better times!

Herman
